Why Tendril lives on your computer
It's an app you install, not a website you log into. That's on purpose, and here's what you get from it.
Your code stays yours
Everything you build lives on your own computer. We never track your code, your files, or what you build, and your activity log stays on your machine. We do count overall AI token usage on your account to enforce your plan limits and prevent abuse, but never the code itself. The one time anything else leaves is what the AI you chose needs to see to do its work, sent straight to that provider.
You pick the AI, you stay in control
Choose Claude, GPT, or Gemini for each project. The AI works in a locked, separate workspace, and nothing is saved to your project until you approve it.
Fast because it is right here
The AI works with your files directly on your machine, so there is no waiting on uploads or slow round-trips to the cloud. Big projects open quickly.
Uses the tools you already have
Tendril works hand in hand with the apps and accounts already set up on your computer, just like you would, so projects run the way you expect.

Before a project is called done, the AI reviews and fixes the issues it can, so you get something that actually runs.
See it live and point at what is wrong
Your app runs right inside Tendril. Circle anything that looks off, type one sentence, and it becomes a task the AI fixes.
You approve every change
Look over each change before it is saved to your project. You are always the one who decides what ships.
Nearly all of this is in the free version. Paid plans don't unlock a stack of extra features; they mainly give you more building room each month. The one exception: bringing an existing project you made elsewhere into Tendril is a Starter or Pro feature, while on Free you build new projects from scratch.
